Pretty & Polished Review

Posted on 04:00 by Unknown
Today I have some awesome polishes to show you. These are the creations of Chelsea from Pretty and Polished. She sells her polishes through an Etsy shop found here. I will provide further links and pricing as it applies. Please note she recently had to pull some of the mini bottles from the site, just because her bottles didn't arrive in time. So it's only temporary!
You can also use the coupon code PRETTY5 to get 5% off your purchase!

To start off, look at this awesome green holographic!
Martian Salad
Can be found for sale here. $8.50 for a full size (15mL) and $4.50 for a mini size (5mL).
Description from Chelsea: Medium Green Holographic Polish. This polish comes in a 15 mL square shaped bottle. It also comes with 2 stainless steel beads for good mixing. This is also available in mini 5 mL size. All Polishes are made without any animal products and are 100% cruelty free! I do use a number of products to mix my polishes including other lacquers, suspension bases, glitters, and powders. But I do not purchase products tested on animals or made with animal products.

My opinion:  This was amazing! My swatch pictures 2 coats. The formula was fantastic. Not too thick, not too thin. I did not experience any patchy-ness or dragging that is common to some holographic polishes. (Ex. GOSH Holo, ChG OMGs.) Each coat went on evenly and dried quickly. And this shade of green just happens to be my favorite color. So this is all around amazing. If you are disappointed by not being able to get your hands on the ChG OMGs... Go to Chelsea's shop and buy this because it's got an easier formula and more affordable than those others on eBay. :)

Party on my Yacht
Can be found for sale here. $8.00 for a full size (15mL) and $4.00 for a mini size (5mL).
Description from Chelsea: Named "Party on my Yacht" because of the gorgeous champagne colored sparkles and brightly colored "summer shore" colors. This gorgeous polish goes on a bit sheer with one coat but with two you have full coverage! Easy to apply, easy to tame, and always gorgeous! Also comes in mini bottles, available in our store. This polish comes in a square glass bottle that holds 15 mL of product. It also comes with 2 stainless steel balls to help keep your polish perfectly mixed! I mix all of my polishes by hand. I never use ingredients tested on animals or that contain animal products. We love our animal friends <3  This polish IS 3 free!
It contains purple, green, dark pink, and yellow gold hex glitters, with a few blue bar glitters dispersed throughout the milky white base.

My opinion: This polish is really unique! I've never seen anything quite like it. I love the way the glitter looks hidden in a cloud with some of it only slightly visible. My swatch was opaque in just 2 coats, which we all know is a rare thing among white nail polishes. The mix of glitters reminded me of Mardi Gras because of the combination of green, gold, and purple. :) I hope the far away shot makes you think of speckled egg candy. That's what came to my mind! This polish also had a great formula and was not streaky or too thick/too thin. It was just right and applied very easily. The layers dried fast and I didn't notice any glitter dragging when I applied the second coat. I also really like how the glitter applied so evenly. I didn't have clumps of glitter and other sparse portions of the nail. Everything was beautiful. So if unique glitters is your thing? Go check out this as well as all of the others that Chelsea has for sale.

Thanks to Chelsea for providing these polishes for review. This is no way influenced my opinion or comments. A great polish speaks for itself.
